Volunteer

I love to be a volunteer.

It's difficult to find a part-time job here but it's very easy be a volunteer. You just walk in and give your passion and commitment, then you can begin your voluntary work.

After being a voluntary shopkeeper at the Barnardo's bookshop, I joined another voluntary project, Befriend, a service for young people to build self-esteem and self-confidence. I attended the training session this evening. If successfully matched, I will have a young friend for 6 months. I'm quite excited but also nervous about the service. I like to be with young people, yet, I would always be concerned about the 'proper' way to talk to them. Maybe I just make it difficult myself.　：Ｐ
